Fishing in Aichi, Mie

I went to fishing with family this month.  Actually, I don't have much experiences in fishing.  We went to Kuwana in Mie prefecture close to Nabana no Sato.

We were aiming to get Gobies there for our dinner; 3 persons serving size.  I feel pressure for that too because I hadn't prepared any dishes for us before leaving our house and because I have mentioned above that I don't have much experience on fishing as far as I remember 2 or 3 times in my life.

When we arrived there, it was late afternoon.  The tide was not high and it wasn't sunny but windy.

testing

We started to test some spots where to put the line into the water.  After putting the line into the water, I had waited for more than 10 minutes.  Then I pulled up the line... my bait was already gone.

I repeated to do the same again 3-4 times.  Then I caught my first goby.

The water level was shallow when we started and then the water stream was gradually increasing.  Just 5 minutes the water level was getting much higher.

From this moment, I could get more fish than my expectation.  The water level is up for a couple of hours and then the water level was getting low and low and we ran out our baits so we stop fishing.

We came back and open our treasure box from the fishing.  We caught almost 50 fishes.  I believe only 8-10 of them were mine.  It was not enough for our dinner at all (2 adults and 1 girl).  Anyway, we were not serious on the results just concentrated to the thing we were doing.

The best season for Goby fishing in Aichi, Mie is around September to October.  It was really fun.
